Chris has worked out that our new home is surrounded by some of the best burger places in Brisbane. Ze Pickle is one of them, It’s one we know well due to long Instagram stalking sessions. It is known for having very very good burgers, but does it beat that burger?
For those who don’t know:
#BeatThatBurger- A burger that Chris consumed years ago at a pub in Kennington, named “The Duchy Burger”. Chris claims this is the best burger he has ever had. The chef moved away and so the burger was no longer available. Ever since, Chris has been on a quest to fill the hole in his life.
So Ze Pickle is very funky as you can imagine; Lights, metal, concrete music…you know the vibe.
To start with I had their signiture cocktail, vodka lemonade.
The menu is long- filled with a vast range of burgers from Wagyu beef, Chicken to vegetarian.
I went for their original, Chee-ze…
Pressed wagyu beef patty, maple bacon, health, fried onion straws, zp sauce & jack cheese
Chris went for the Chew-By-Chew…
Double pressed wagyu beef patties, double american cheeze
w/ stout smoked bacon & zp sauce
…with some loaded fries of course.
SO Chris’ verdict…
“This burger was mind-blowingly good, It’s definitely one of the best I’ve had. However I don’t think I had their best version, the Chee-ze looked more impressive then the Chew-By-Chew so I would have to come back to try that one (plus all of the rest.) Awesome start to Brisbane burgers!”
